Abstract

This paper deals with certain aspects of Housing Project practice. A search is done on how the topic is treated through the architecture career. Al the files of the courses given at the Facultad de Arquitectura y Urbanismo, Universidad de Concepción, Uruguay were checked and through their analysis a description is made of what they say it is taught. The point of view of the students was also used, making clear that an attempt was made at determining not what the students have learnt but rather what they can say they have learnt; their difficulties, their preferences and those aspects which they recognize as failures. Then the statements made by the students were compared to the objectives of the Housing course, in this case through design and finally the achievements, which were made, are described.
