Abstract

In this paper I offer a reflection on the ethnographic turn in archaeology and its contribution to the link with Indigenous Peoples through the development of public, collaborative and indigenous archaeology. This work does not pretend to be exhaustive, but rather seeks to present the contemporary discussion on this subject, starting from the global and ending in a local case. This reflection emphasizes the contribution of Victoria Castro in the conformation of these lines of work in Chile.
